On January 8th (2023) CPRE Lincolnshire planted 150m of hedgerow at Mareham Pastures Nature Reserve.

Our first Hedgerow Heroes project in Lincolnshire took place at Mareham Pastures Nature Reserve.

In January we planted 150m of native plants alongside our delivery partner, Lincolnshire County Council, who recruited wonderful volunteers from Sleaford Rotary Club and Friends of Mareham Pastures. We’re so grateful for all the help and support!

Local CPRE groups across the country have been directly engaging with communities and volunteers to ensure their involvement with these practical conservation projects in their local green spaces. We’re proud to be contributing toward increasing our hedgerow network by 40% by 2050, as recommended by the Climate Change Committee to help achieve carbon net zero.
